Build a Foundation of Hope

Much of our evangelism involves meeting the tangible needs of families who have lost hope. Since the 2007 earthquake, many still live in homes made of plastic or cardboard. Our “Homes of Hope” ministry provides construction assistance to address this need, bringing workers and funds to build and repair homes for the most vulnerable.
Get Involved: We need individuals and teams to help with these life-changing projects. Whether you have professional skills or are willing to learn, your hands can help build a brighter future.

Serve the Next Generation

We are a helping hand for over 2,000 un-churched and impoverished children in the rural earthquake area of South Peru.
We need your support to continue providing a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment for them.

Bring Supplies

Bring mission support materials like clothing, school supplies, and toys in your luggage.

Volunteer Your Time

Serve as a short-term or long-term volunteer, investing directly in the lives of children.

Use Your Talents

Use your skills in teaching, sports, music, or simply being a positive role model.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can volunteer?

We welcome individuals, church groups, youth groups, and families with a heart to serve. Whether you are a skilled professional (like a doctor or builder) or simply willing to help with our children’s programs, there is a place for you to make a difference.

What kind of work will I be doing?

The work varies based on your skills and the mission’s current needs. You can express your interest in serving in a specific area, such as:

General Support: Helping where the need is greatest at the mission base.

Children’s Ministry: Running activities, teaching, and mentoring.

Youth / Teen / Pre-Teen Ministry: Language, teaching, music.

Homes of Hope: Assisting with construction and repair projects (often a group activity).

Medical & Dental Missions: Providing professional care in local clinics (often a group activity).

How much does a short-term mission trip cost?

For general mission teams, we will work with you to cover taxi, bus, lodging, and food. Depending on the size of your group, the number of days, the time of year, the meals per day, etc., there are many variables. However, we will strive to make it a very economical and enjoyable trip. For specialized Medical/Dental, construction, or other group trips, we will also collaborate with your group and group leader to develop a great package price.

The cost would cover all your essential in-country expenses: ground transportation (including airport pickup in Lima and the bus to Ica), all lodging, and all meals. The main cost that is not included is your international airfare to and from Lima, Peru. Most of what we cover is specific to mission lodging and food and can greatly assist with transportation arrangements and recommendations.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No, speaking Spanish is not a requirement to serve with us. Our resident missionaries and staff are bilingual (English/Spanish) and will be on-hand to translate and facilitate communication. However, a willingness to learn a few basic phrases is always appreciated! Also, if coming as a group, it is always a great idea to have a translator or two with you (group size dependent) to make sure the need is covered.

What is the application process like?

The first step is to fill out our comprehensive online application form here. On the form, you can select your primary area of interest. Once we receive your submission, our team will review it and get in touch with you to discuss the next steps.

I’m interested in the Discipleship Training School (DTS). Do I use the same form?

That’s a great question! The DTS is an official Youth With A Mission (YWAM) course. While we are the host base, the application is handled through the main YWAM process to ensure you receive the proper accreditation. You can find all the details and the correct application link on our dedicated Discipleship Training School page.
