Irma’s Calling to Peru

As many of my friends know, before the end of the year, if God permits, I will be making a missionary trip to El Carmen, Peru, where the LAMA Ministry Mission is located.
This is a significant step of faith for me. Earlier this year, I received my very first passport — a blessing I am deeply grateful to the Lord for.
Over the past months, I have been preparing in different areas that will help me serve and share the Gospel in Peru. On April 30, I shared my mission plans with my classmates at ISEL. On May 22, Pastors Eli and Marco de Lázaro Cárdenas invited me to present my plans:
- In the morning, I spoke at Church Del Monte Sion in Playa Azul, where the congregation promised monthly support for my mission.
- In the afternoon, I preached for 40 minutes at another congregation pastored by Eli and Marco, where further support was pledged.
- That same evening, we visited a small church in Santa Fe, where women, despite their limited means, also promised monthly help.
I thank God for these open doors and for the lives of Pastors Marco and Eli who have supported me greatly.

God’s Faithfulness
The journey has not been without challenges, but God has shown His power at every step:
- I misplaced my electoral credential just 15 days before my passport appointment. With God’s help, I found it two days later.
- On the day of the appointment, my CURP did not match my birth certificate. Although I was told it could not be resolved immediately, God intervened, and the problem was corrected within 15 minutes.
These moments confirm to me that God is guiding this mission.
Prayer Requests
Please join me in prayer for:
- Wisdom to share God’s Word according to His purpose.
- Open doors in more congregations to share about the mission.
- Financial provision for travel and living expenses in Peru.

LAMA Ministry Note
Irma has been in dialogue with LAMA for many months and is extremely excited to begin serving at the mission. She is bilingual, full of energy, and prepared to contribute in many ways, including:
- Teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) classes.
- Supporting women’s ministries and senior adults.
- Partnering with Yareni, her friend and fellow missionary trained in Mexico.
The goodwill generated by the Sánchez family in just 8 months has paved the way for Irma’s arrival. Her timing is ideal to build upon this foundation.
Currently, Irma has raised just under half of her needed monthly support. At this pace, she may not be fully funded until the end of the year. However, with additional support, she could arrive in September instead of January — greatly advancing the mission.
Why Your Support Matters
Irma, now in her retirement years, is dedicating her time, energy, and heart to doing God’s work in Peru. With your help, she can begin this mission sooner and reach more lives for Christ.
The world of missions is not only about those who go — it is also about those who send. Missionaries cannot go without the faithful support of their partners.
🙏 Please consider partnering with Irma today. Every prayer, every dollar, every encouragement helps bring this vision to life.
